Absences and Late Arrivals
In the interest of student safety and effective programming, it is important that all student absences are accounted for in all schools of the Rainy River District School Board. Parents/Guardians are asked to please call the school each time a student is going to be late or absent.
If the school has not been notified that the student will be late or absent from school, the parent will receive a call requesting information. If the school has not been otherwise notified that your student will be late, please send a note, and have them sign in at the main office.
Student Pick-Ups
If your student is being picked up due to early dismissal, illness, or an appointment, they must be signed out at the main office. If the person picking them up is not on the student's regular contact list, permission from the parent/guardian is required and identification may be requested.

When texting or leaving a message on the school's cell or voice-mail system, please include your name, your child(ren)’s first and last names, their grade, and the reason for the absence.
